Building a Bigger Business for a Savvy Contractor

The brightest thing a client can do is to hire trained professionals to do a job right. Smart contractors live by this rule, so when one of New York’s premiere builders. Contrex Restoration, was looking to expand their business, they hired Speed of Light Productions to get the ball rolling.

The first step we took was doing some homework. We dug in and learned about the business. Then we created a marketing strategy based on this solid truth: the best way to build a contractors business is through personal interaction combined with referrals from highly satisfied clients. Speed of Light then proposed attending The Buildings NY Tradeshow at Javits Center. We designed an eye-stopping booth and wrote and produced print collateral materials. Next we produced a give away testimonial video and video loop that ran in the booth informing visitors about Contrex’s capabilities. Thousands of prospective clients visited the booth. In mere seconds they were chatting with a contractor about their prospective jobs, and were “meeting” via video testimony, satisfied customers who were thrilled to recommend Contrex. of course, business it booming. Speed of Light has since created a CD-ROM for Contrex and is currently working on a television commercial that will run on local cable.
